2nd grade yoga

We are moving our way through the alphabet and our positive affirmations, and this week was the letter H. We named off some very good H words, such as, happy, human, honest, hero, handsome and harmony.  More notably, however, was the letter G last week.  I have seen so much enthusiasm with the kids when we talk about positive words. When we discussed the letter G, we had the expected words like great, gorgeous, gentle and grace.  I smiled when someone said “grandparents” but I laughed out loud when one kid said “G-Wagon.”  The students have really come up with some good ones.

Last week we did a craft activity making yogi’s with sticks and pipe cleaners.  This week, we moved our bodies and learned to “fly” in airplane pose.

Enjoy the gala tonight and don’t forget to bid on my experience.  I wrote a book this summer on 20 of the breathing techniques I use at school with your student.  It will be published in just a few weeks and available online everywhere books are sold. The book is called “Breathe With Me,” by Mindful Miss D. I will autograph a book for each of your students and teach a family yoga or fitness class at a location of your choice.
