Week of 4/23-4/26

Hope everyone had a wonderful Home Stretch Holiday break!  Here’s what the 5th graders are up to this week:

Writing: Students will begin writing a fictional narrative this week.

Reading: Students are working on their Literary Newspaper and historical fiction novels.

Spelling/Grammar: Towards the end of the week, we will start a spelling unit that will spill into next week.

Science: Students will begin working on their Zoo project!

Social Studies: We take a closer look at the New England and Middle Colonies.

Math: We continue our geometry unit with quadrilaterals and triangles.  We will also discuss perimeter and area of other polygons.
