Students learned a new breath and new pose this week, both called dolphin. When doing dolphin breath, you place your hands on the top of your head and pretend you have a blow hole like a dolphin. When you exhale, you lift your hands up in the air and release the breath.
Dolphin pose is a little more complicated. First we discussed that they space between your elbow and wrist is called your forearm. We did forearm poses such as sphinx, lizard, side plank, and center plank. Dolphin pose is done by starting in forearm plank and walking your feet towards your elbows. It looks like a downward dog, on your forearms.
