Kansas City Field Trip

Last week’s trip to Kansas City was a great experience for high school students and the chaperones.  Beginning at the University of Missouri, KC (UMKC), the students participated in an informative session about the various programs available and admissions process, followed by a campus tour.  The day also provided a sense of community as students enjoyed a lunch buffet together, fostering connections with their peers and chaperones.

The trip continued with a visit to the National World War I History Museum, where students immersed themselves in rich historical exhibits that sparked their interest and curiosity.  Many took advantage of the opportunity to browse the gift shop and even climb the iconic Tower for a panoramic view of the city.

These field trips allow for meaningful conversations about future aspirations and enhance the camaraderie among friends.  The educational experiences and the vibrant atmosphere of the museum amplified the day’s significance, as the students’ enthusiasm for history was evident.
